Hamas leadership in Damascus announced on Sunday that it will not renew a truce with Israel in the Gaza Strip after it is due to expire on Friday, December 19th. Major General Amos Gilad, the head of military-political department at the Ministry of Defense flew to Cairo on Sunday morning to meet with Egyptian officials to discuss the status of the Egyptian-brokered cease-fire.
