On the night of November 4th 2008, IDF forces launched an operation in the Gaza Strip to destroy a tunnel to be used by Hamas terrorists to infiltrate into Israeli and kidnap another IDF soldier. Since the IDF operation took place, the Israeli-Hamas ceasefire has spiralled out of control, with over 70 rockets being fired by Gaza terrorists at Israeli communities bordering the Gaza Strip.
