While the eyes of the world are focused on the United States and the recent victory of Barak Obama, last night the security situation in Israel took a sharp turn for the worst. For the first time since the ceasefire took effect in June, IDF forces operated deep in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday night to destroy a tunnel, which was to be used to kidnap IDF soldiers.The ensuing clash which included Hamas mortar fire and pin point Israeli air strikes against Hamas mortar positions, left 6 Hamas terrorists dead and three Israeli soldiers wounded. 11/05/08
