It has been almost two months now since Israel and Hamas have engaged in the cold, unstable cessation of violence known as the “tahadiya” or the truce. Yet while both sides try to adhere to the truce and engage in Egyptian mediated peace talks, both sides are also simultaneously training, rearming and readying their forces for the next round of violence, compelling one to ask: Where is the truce between Israel and Hamas leading?
