Israeli security forces demolished a residential building in Arab East Jerusalem early Monday morning, in a move that is certain to only add to the already high tensions running through Israel’s capital. An Israeli police spokesman said that structure was demolished because parts of the structure had been built without permission from Israeli Authorities. Yet Palestinians claim that Israeli authorities usually deny them building permission in Arab East Jerusalem, forcing them to build illegally. 07/29/08
