Reports Thursday that the government intends to establish a new community in the Jordan Valley and has approved the construction of new housing units, generated headlines bound to irritate the US Administration who requested that Israel freeze all settlement activity. The community is Maskiot located in the north Jordan Valley. Dubi Tal, head of the Jordan Valley regional council, told Infolive.tv the community was established in 1982, and doesn't understand what all the fuss is about.07/24/08
