Among the panormaic desert views lies the scenic Bedouin village Derijat , which means steps in English, that was founded by farmers from the Hebron Hills area who settled in the area in the 19th century and brought with them the tradition of cave dwellers. The village is not recognized by the State of Israel and because of this is not linked up to electricity and instead villagers use generators. 03/31/08
