Meeting with the foreign press in Jerusalem on Wednesday Prime Minister Ehud Olmertt called for concerted world action to prevent Iran from acquiring weapons of mass destruction but at the same time hinted that Israel could be holding or planning to hold secret talks with Syria with the hope of achieving peace. While Olmert revealed his desire to talk with President Bashar Assad , Hizbullah with Iranian and Syrian support ,is quietly replenishing its stockpiles of weapons including thousands of long and short distance range rockets, fully aware that in any future battle with Israel it must maintain the upper hand. 03/27/08
