On Wednesday the army rejected Palestinian claims that soldiers operating in central Gaza on Tuesday night shot and killed a month old Palestinian baby. The army said that Palestinian gunmen hid inside inhabited houses and opened fire at troops who returned fire. The army did not rule out the possibility that the baby was killed by Palestinian gunfire.05/03/08
