An IDF officer was lightly wounded during a gunbattle with terrorists in Tulkarm on Monday. Soldiers of the Nachshon Battalion launched a raid in the city against the terror infrastructure, searching for wanted fugitives. Nachshon Battalion commander Lieutenant Colonel Nir Baron, led troops into a home in search of a fugitive, and was lightly wounded in the hand by shrapnel, when the wanted Palestinian opened fire at the soldiers. Baron returned fire, killing the Palestinian identified later as Murad Al-Bassa.01/21/08
