Les services de renseignements britanniques enquêtent sur "un important complot" terroriste, a déclaré le secrétaire d'Etat britannique à la lutte contre le terrorisme Lord Alan West. "Il y a un nouveau complot important qui est en développement et nous surveillons cela", a-t-il indiqué sans donner plus de détails.La menace terroriste est actuellement classée comme "grave" en Grande-Bretagne, soit un cran seulement avant le niveau le plus élevé. Deux hommes qui ont participé à des tentatives d'attentats à la voiture piégée à Londres et Glasgow (Ecosse) fin juin 2007 sont actuellement en procès à Londres.
