Lors d'une réunion avec tous les autres ministres de gouvernement ce dimanche, le ministre des Finances Ronnie Bar-On a remis un rapport sur la crise financière mondiale à la demande d'Ehoud Olmert. En réponse à la volonté du parti travailliste d'augmenter le budget général de 2.5%, Bar-On a déclaré que "malgré le fait qu'il n'y ait pour l'instant aucune inquiétude sur l'avenir de l'économie israélienne, il ne doit pas y avoir d'excès".
