American and Israeli scientists are at loggerheads over whether they will be able to plant electronic sensors inside butterflies and other insects, and activate them by remote control. The aim of exhaustive experiments conducted by the scientists over a number of years, both in the United States and in Israel, is to eventually use the insects that will be fitted with electronic sensors to take aerial shots for intelligence use as well as detect explosives.
At the US military Defense Advanced Research Project Agency,(DARPA),  researchers have been trying for a number of years to develop the process whereby insects will be used to take aerial shots to track down caches of explosives. In Israel, scientists are developing the special electronic sensors which will be implanted in the insects at the cocoon stage.02/05/07

Please. Just don't send the spy butterflies to spy on the United States. You just have to ask for information usually. You don't have to steal it.
