Iran’s official news agency IRNA reported that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Lebanon’s armed struggle against Israel is, “an example of all the area’s nations and thus, the Lebanese nation is a source of pride for the entire region.”
In a meeting in Tehran with former Lebanese President Émile Lahoud, Ahmadinejad added that Iran will continue to stand alongside Lebanon in every situation. According to him, “Lebanon’s enemies are weaker than in the past and the Lebanese nation can thwart all the plots and acts of hostility brought upon by the Zionist regime.”
