Extreme right-wing activist Baruch Marzel arrived in Akko for a tour in light of the riots which broke out in the city between Jews and Arabs on Yom Kippur. Marzel told Ynet that he intends on assisting the inhabitants there and establish an organization defending the Jews like that created by Meir Kahane in the United States.
“I am sorry that we need to establish such organizations in Israel, but it seems that in Akko the Jews feel like they are in the Diaspora,” said Marzel. He called upon West Bank inhabitants who were removed from the territories to move to Akko before the olive harvest.
