President George W. Bush will make a statement on Friday morning to assure Americans that every action is being taken to stabilize the financial system, a day after the U.S. Stock market tumbled more than 600 points. White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said on Thursday, "Following the market's continued volatility Thursday afternoon, the president will deliver a statement in the Rose Garden Friday morning where he will assure the American people that they should be confident that economic officials are aggressively taking every action to stabilize our financial system."
