Administrators got rid of lists of Falash Mura requesting to come to Israel and "no real effort is being made to investigate the situation," said MK Michael Eitan during a Tuesday meeting of the State Control Committee.
Falash Mura are Ethopian descendants of Jews who had not practiced Judaism in recent years, and had generally been forced to convert. The State of Israel decided to limit the number of immigration permits granted to this community.
