Recently the mass media has focused its reports on the political events in Israel. Outgoing Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s resignation. Newly elected Kadima chair Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni’s tight victory in the Kadima’s primaries and the negotiations underway to form a new coalition.
Nevertheless a core issue needs to be addressed : the socio-economic situation in Israel
and the challenges the new government will be forced to confront.
This problematic situation was the subject of discussion at a recent event organized by the Center for Social Justice and The Forum for Social Responsibility that focused on the Social Agenda of the Israeli Government. Itzhak Herzog, Minister of Welfare explained to Infolive.tv.09/25/08
