After a 33 month term in office which included impressive acts of diplomacy, disputed decisions of war and dubious personal dealings, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert informed his cabinet on Sunday that he would be stepping down as Prime Minister of the State of Israel. While Olmert made no mention as to when he intends on meeting with President Shimon Peres in order to submit his official notice of resignation, he did wish newly elected Kadima leader, Tzipi Livni, the best of luck in forming Israel’s next administration. 09/21/08
