The Syrian state newspaper Tishrin declared Saturday that new Kadima chairman Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni ,who will become Israel’s next Prime Minjister will achieve peace if she desires it.
The newspaper editor in chief Issam Dari wrote in the article that was published on Saturday that her family background as daughter of a Jewish pre-state underground organization made her ill equipped to denounced Palestinian terror.
Dari wrote, “Livni should bear this in mind: If your house is made of glass, don't go hurling stones on others." He went on to say, “We hope you won’t be quick in accusing Palestinians and Arabs of terror because with your record – you can’t blame others for doing what you have done all your life."
“The article described Livni as a “Mossad dove,” calling her the pretty woman from the Mossad. The blaring headline chosen for the article stated “Tzipi – the new Bird of Israel. If Livni desires peace - she will achieve it," the article said. Dari added "Mrs. Livni is well aware of the demands for peace, and she knows that the way to achieve the just peace everyone is yearning for is by returning the occupied Arab land to its rightful owners. 09/20/08
