Three French Jews, Dan Nevet, Kevin Bitan and Favid Buaziz, are in the hospital this week suffering from face fractures. A group of 10 to 12 youths wearing brass knuckles assaulted them as they were standing outside a Paris branch of Bnei Akiva waiting to participate as counselors in a Bnei Akiva activity. Three attackers first threw chestnuts at the young men and shouted antisemitic threats in Arabic. They then brought a larger group who pummeled the Jewish youths until police arrived on the scene. The assailants escaped and the victims were hospitalized. According to one Bnei Akiva representative, such antisemitic attacks “happen all the time” in Paris. Infolive.tv spoke with a leader of the French Jewish community and an official from the French Embassy in Israel in order to get to the bottom of the new outbreak of anti-Semitism plaguing the streets of Paris. 09/10/09
