A woman from Rishon Letzion murdered her 4-year-old son overnight Thursday when she threw him into the waters of the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Bat Yam.
Police received a phone call at 1:30 a.m. from bystanders in the area reporting that they had seen a woman fleeing after throwing her son into the water. The police then arrested the woman, while at the same time conducting searches for the boy.
The boy was found shortly after, but Magen David Adom paramedics failed to resuscitate him.
