President Shimon Peres spent his 85th birthday on Thursday in southern Israeli town of Dimona, as part of his crusade to promote growth in the sparsely-populated arid region. During his visit he was serenaded by a choir from the 900-strong Black Hebrew community, a group of polygamous, vegan, African Americans originally from Chicago, who believe they are a lost tribe of Israel. 08/21/08
