IDF Chief of Staff Says Israel Knows Gilad Shalit's Condition And Location

The IDF Chief of Staff, Gabi Ashkenazi, said on Monday that Israel knows that abducted IDF soldier Gilad Shalit is alive and where he is being held. This was the first acknowledgement of the sort since Shalit was captured in a cross-border raid by Gaza militants in 2006.
