Reports Thursday that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's government with the approval of Defense Minister Ehud Barak have given the green light to start construction in a new north Jordan valley community is guaranteed to draw waves. The community generating all the fire is Maskiot located in the north Jordan Valley,
However Dubi Tal, head of the Jordan Valley regional council told Infolive.tv the community was established in 1982.
Eight families from the former Gush Katif community currently live in mobile housing in Maskiot, and the regional council has received the approval to build 20 housing units said Tal, even though a total of 23 families intend to make their homes there.
