US Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama arrived at the Western Wall on Thursday in the last stop on his 36 hour visit to Israel. Arriving at 5 am, Obama donned a white skull-cap and met with the Western Wall rabbi, Samuel Rabinowitz, who explained to him the historic and religious significance of the place. He then placed a note in the Wall's stones and read a chapter from the Book of Psalms. 07/24/08
