At approximately 9:40am on Wednesday morning, Hizbullah displayed the coffins of Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser on the Lebanese side of the border.
This is the first time since the soldiers abduction in a 2006 cross border raid that sparked the Second Lebanon War that the condition of the two soldiers has been publicly made known.
The bodies of the two soldiers are now under the official responsibility of the International Red Cross who will manage the actual transfer of the prisoners in the exchange.
The death of the two soldiers still must be verified thought the idetification of the corpses by Israeli officials. If the bodies of the soldiers are too damaged to be identified, Israel will conduct DNA test to confirm their identities.
The fact that the two soldiers were apparently killed during or shortly after their abduction only shows the length to which Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah went to decieve Israel and spread disinformation in the media in order to exact a higher prisoner exchange price from Israel. 07/16/08
