President Nicolas Sarkozy welcomed Israeli and Palestinian leaders to the Mediterranean Union summit in Paris on Sunday where he has scored a victory in diplomacy bringing together delegations from 43 countries to discuss peace and cooperation. Sarkozy also scored another success when the leaders of Lebanon and Syria announced at the summit plans to open embassies in each others capitals.07/14/08
