Terror Strikes Jerusalem - Gunman Shoots Two Policemen In Old City Terror Attack

A search for the terrorist who opened fire at policemen patrolling in the Old City late Friday night continues. The gunman positioned himself in the Moslem cemetery overlooking  Lion's Gate where the policemen were located ,and opened fire, hitting one in the stomach and one in the head before fleeing. Shortly after the shooting security forces detained a number of Arabs for questioning. Surveillance cameras captured the attack on camera, a gag order has been placed on the entire investigation. In recent months there has been a marked increase in terror attacks in the capital, however police said there is no link between Friday's attack and the bulldozer attack in the capital in which three Israelis were killed ten days ago. In March an Israeli man was seriously wounded in a stabbing attack near the Old City's Damascus Gate.07/13/08
