U.S. Has Every Right to Speak of Nuclear Power

Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 06/26/2008 - 17:34.
The United States did indeed use two nuclear weapons against the Japanese, who sneak-attacked the U.S. at Pearl Harbor in 1941. Japan stood to lose one million of its citizens, as it was defeated, but would not surrender. After the first bomb, they were given three days to consider surrender. Further, Japan was planning to use a nuclear "dirty bomb" against San Francisco--a bomb put together with radioactive materials which were on a German submarine headed for Japan when Germany finally surrendered. Nuclear warfare is a horror. The United States helped to save the world in World War II. Since then, the U.S. has handled its nuclear arsenal with great care and responsibility. The U.S.,Israel, the European Union and many others, are very concerned that Iran will use nuclear weapons, given their undying and irrational hatred for Israel.
