Attending a special parliamentary session in his honor at the Knesset, French President Nicolas Sarkozy declared France would not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons, and would never let Israel stand alone. At the same time Sarkozy warned there will never be peace until Jerusalem becomes the capital of two people, Israel and the Palestinians, a solution is found to the refugee crisis and there is a halt to settlement building.

The French guest was also treated to an Israeli style side show of democracy, when angry Arab knesset members heckled Oppostion leader Binyamin Netanyahu for making the comparison between radical Islamism and Nazism.06/23/08

Don't Bomb Iran !!

Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 06/25/2008 - 22:28.
Though the Madman from Tehran, and his Ayatollah, are actively making threats to make Israel become "invisible," in my opinion it would be a terrible strategic mistake for Israel to try to take out Iran's nuclear facilities at this time. More than half of the civilian population in Iran likes the United States, and therefore, many of these civilians have no reason to hate Israel. Bombing the Iranians--whose leaders, I must admit, are like some form of alien empire out of Star Trek--would galvanize that whole country against Israel and the United States. Their first move would undoubtedly be to sink a huge ship, and block the Stait of Hormuz. Their second move would be to assist in raising the price of oil to $400 per barrel. They can and will fight back, and they can get us all into a situation like that in Iraq. Prudence--and careful planning--is called for here. And, not to be an alarmist, whatever happened to that rumor that the Iranians bought two hydrogen bombs from the Russians about ten years ago?
