The Lebanese Army blocked roads that were scenes of heavy fighting between government pros and anti government forces in Lebanon. The country edged towwards a violent crunchpoint as its US backed Prime Minister was forced to say it would not fall into the hands of Hizbullah. He accused the Iranian backed Hizbullah of launching a coup in Beirut. Hizbullah on Saturday withdrew its fighting force from Beirut due to the Lebanese Army's decision to overturn the government's decision. Since last week when the fighting first erupted close to 40 people have been killed in the Beirut streets with unrest spreading to other areas in Lebanon including Tripoli. Israel meanwhile continues to monitor the situation closely but has no intention of interfering in the situation
