French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner met on Sunday with Defense Minister Ehud Barak and President Shimon Peres on the final day of his whirlwind trip to Israel. "The window of opportunity for peace is shrinking," Peres said during a meeting with Kouchner.
"People are losing faith in peace," Peres said. "The Middle East has a policy of talk but not action - everybody talks, but nobody does anything."
Over the weekend Kouchner met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and said that in order for the peace process to move forward Israel must stop all settlement activity.02/17/08
