An Israeli woman was killed and ten wounded, one critically, in a suicide bomb attack in Dimona's commercial center.Shortly before 10.30 two terrorists entered the center, one blew up and the second terrorist was shot by a police officer before he could detonate his explosives.
Security officials have not ruled out the possibility that the terrorists crossed into Israel from Egypt after leaving Gaza via the breached Rafah border crossing. Police in the southern region said no specific threats were received in recent days, but the security establishment warned of the danger of terrorists crossing into Israel from Egypt since the border crossing in Rafah was breached.
The wounded were transferred to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba. The Fatah al Aksa Martyrs Brigade claimed responsibility for the attack saying it was a response to Israel's actions against the Palestinian people.
