Le président français Nicolas Sarkozy a décidé de mettre Ingrid Betancourt dans la promotion du 14 juillet de la Légion d'Honneur et a invité l'ex-otage franco-colombienne à assister au défilé de la Fête nationale.
"Elle a été conviée par l'Elysée pour assister au défilé du 14 juillet", selon la même source, qui a ajouté qu'Ingrid Betancourt n'avait pas encore confirmé sa présence.
Elle devrait recevoir le titre de chevalier de la légion d'honneur.
