L'ambassadeur d'Israël aux Nations Unies Dan Gillerman s'inquiète des évènements qui se produisent depuis plus d'une semaine au Liban. Il a notamment dénoncé l'ingérence syrienne et iranienne dans les affaires libanaises, ajoutant aussi que le Hezbollah ne respectait pas la résolution 1701 et poursuivait son réarmement. Gillerman en a conclu que l'Iran se trouvait à la frontière nord d'Israël et qu'il fallait prendre cette réalité au sérieux.
