A pesar del anuncio de Hizbolá de que se retiraba de las posiciones conquistadas en Beirut y que ordenaría el repliegue de sus hombres armados de las calles de la ciudad capital de Líbano, otras facciones islámicas de la oposición anunciaron que continuarían con la desobediencia civil. De tal forma, continuaron los choques en Trípoli, al norte de Líbano. Al menos una persona murió y varias resultaron heridas. Según testigos se registraron explosiones y ráfagas de disparos en barrios tales como Bab al Tebbaneh, Kobbeh y Jabal Mohsen.
